Section Three:
At Terror Street and Agony Way (Poems 1965 -1968)
OK, before I even write about a poem let’s just talk about how
awesome the title At Terror Street and
Agony Way is. I absolutely love
it.
i met a genius
I met a genius on the train
today
about 6 years old,
he sat beside me
and as the train
ran down along the coast
we came to the ocean
and then he looked at me
and said,
it’s not pretty.
it was the first time I’d
realized
that.
I have to say that there are a lot of great poems from this
section. But this one is short, and concise, and I like it a lot.
